30 Sites in 90 Days Update - All My Sites Built

Posted by Alexander Tsatkin
July 21, 2008

I decided it was time to update the status of my sites and how my little project is coming along. Before I list the websites here is what I have learned so far, I know exactly how NOT to make a lot of money online. I figure eventually I will exhaust the possibilities and all that will be left are the real goldmines. Truth be told since I started 30 sites in 90 days I have been making about 3 to 5 dollars a day total. Which is still less than I would be making if I was to sell links through Text-Link-Ads. I am also trying out a few networks, but there is enough info there for its own post.

Without further ado here is a list of all of the sites I have built. I will keep updating this list as I go.

Absinthe Sugar As soon as I discovered that Absinthe was legal in the US I decided to build a site. I paid a copy writer for the copy and I am running affiliate offers and AdSense. The traffic level isn’t quite where I want it to be so currently I am working on building more links.

Carfartz Hybrid Cars This was the very first domain I bought. I had a pretty good website before that ranked for “stop car pollution” too bad there was like 10 searches a month for that word. The new site is blog style and will follow trends in alternative fuel vehicles. PS if you want to see the original video for the old site, here it is:

Thanks to Jonah Simon for this video.Under Water Hunting A site designed for the spearfishing enthusiast in all of us.Small Business Online Tips This is a blog where I keep track of all the new tools and tips out there for small business owners. Both as a reference for me and a resource for others.

FlipSideInvest Personal Finance -Another one of my older sites. I blog here when I find something interesting in the world of finance. I plan to invest a lot more time into this one once I become an investor.

Foreclosed Home Investing - Foreclosures are hot so I got a copywriter to write some great content. Created a site and hoping to get some more traffic before I figure out exactly where to take it. Sell books, sell listings, or just sell the site.

Home Remedy Skin Care - My girlfriend helped start this one, basically a site about skin care. This site goes through phases where it makes a few dollars a day then nothing the next, so I am trying a few things to try to make the cash flow consistent. There is another site thats a tangent of this but the contributor would prefer I not list it.

Google Search Sucks - A place for me to vent about Google, Affiliate Marketing, SEO, and the internet in general. Haven’t thought about monetizing it, but maybe it is time.

Online Reputation Handbook - Online reputation management continues to grow as an industry. I was going to write an ebook on how to fix your online reputation, but someone beat me to it. Not sure what to do with this site now.

Seducing Women Online - You can buy groceries online, why not find your perfect girl. Had a PUA write some articles for me, and got a few email sign ups. Now I just gotta keep the content train rolling.

On Meeting Men Online - A site designed for women looking to find love using the power of the internet. Working on improving traffic and then will figure out best monetization strategies.

Alex Tsatkin - Of course this site counts too. This was going to be my business blog, but I decided I am going to make it my personal blog which bring me to m next site.

FlipSite Media - This site is not completely done, but the plan is that this will be my online business site. I do not want to be an agency so I am positioning the business as a consultant that helps you flip your online business. The goal will be to buy “distressed” websites, flip them using SEO, PPC, affiliate marketing, etc and then re-sell them.

Bboy Break - There are a few people who remember that I used to breakdance. Well I still follow whats going on, so I decided to start a website about it. I see a website owner making power moves, buying out a bunch of domains and building out a sick site, so I decided to make things more fun for him ;)

Fixed Bicycle Gear - No Brakes and only one gear seems to be hot trend in the bike riding community. I do not have one of these bikes, but my rule is once I make 1k from this site I will buy a fixie.

Fixed Gear Bike Store - This is the first attempt at BANS. I have had over 100 clicks and no conversions. But I was impressed with the software and may try it out on a few other niches.

Wordpress CMS Blog - This blog is for those people who are interested in using wordpress to create scalable and flexible content management systems.

There are a few more sites that are in the pipeline. Realistically I do not think that I will finish all thirty sites, but most likely about 20. The consulting part of my business has really picked up, so I have been focusing on that.

I do have a few more sites in the pipeline including:

  • Homeopothy
  • Egg Donation
  • Paid Online Survey
  • Mobile Directory
  • Boating Blog
  • San Francisco Blog
  • Organic Foods Blog
  • War Gaming
  • Online Business Network
  • Gift Ideas

Thanks for the updates! So based on your experience are you going to stick with what you’re doing or start looking for another job soon?

Although I am not nearly at the level I want to be, I am making enough to give me hope, and thats all that matters.

Plus, I am having much more fun and making much more money doing freelance and consulting work. I have the flexibility and freedom I have always dreamed of.

Your designs are very good. Having looked all over them I wud suggest you place more of an emphasis on affiliate marketing.
I started out with adsense but the earnings are miniscule with that compared to affilaite marketing. Someone bought a suit from an affilaite link and I received £40. How long wud it have taken to do that via adsense?

Your are probably right I am experimenting using affiliates right now. The problem is with AdSense once someone clicks you receive compensation right away. With affiliates often there is no conversion on their end and I get zilch.

Really its all about traffic once you have a steady stream of traffic you can pretty much do what you want and figure out the best combination to maximize revenue. Right now my traffic is till tiny so its hard to come up with good conclusions.
